  • Ties in playoff games (semi-finals and finals) will be determined by a 5 minute running time sudden death period. 5-on-5 play and penalties carry over from regulation play. If teams are still tied after 5 minutes of play, a shootout will decide the winner. Teams are to select 3 players to begin shootout. One player from each team start at centre ice and shoot on the opposing goal at the same time. Winner is determined by the best record of the 3 players from each team. If still tied, a sudden death shootout will determine the winner. Players are not allowed to participate in shootout more than once until the entire team has participated.
